dr Ilona Kalaszczyńska

Professional experience:

Ilona is a graduate of the Faculty of Biology at the University of Warsaw. She completed her doctoral thesis at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Since 2010, she has been an assistant professor at the Department of Histology and Embryology of the Medical University of Warsaw, where she pursues research interests in the field of tissue engineering/regenerative medicine, and cell biology. Additionally, as the quality control manager at the Research Laboratory-Bank of Cells of the Medical University of Warsaw, she oversees the quality of the tested advanced therapy medicinal products (ATIMP) and the hospital exception (HE-ATMP). As part of her advisory activity, she participates in the development of innovative medicinal products in the field of ATMP and medical devices. Speaker at numerous trainings and conferences on tissue engineering/regenerative medicine. She is the author or co-author of numerous publications and clinical assessments for several dozen medical devices, author, manager, and contractor of research projects financed from public and private funds.
