Paweł Urbański

After graduating from WUT BS, I started working for the consulting company Central Europe Trust (CET), one of the most dynamically developing international strategic consulting companies. I worked in CET for 13 years – in the position of Consultant to Partner, gaining experience in the implementation of several dozen consultancy projects for leading companies on the Central and Eastern European market. I managed to stay in contact with the Business School for the following years thanks to conducting classes with students. After six years, I went to London, where I completed my PhD in economics at Imperial College at the University of London. I must admit that great professors I met at the School of Business gave me inspiration and support in this decision. In 2006, I accepted a job offer in the Management Board of Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE). While I was the Vice President and then the President of PSE, I achieved the goal that prompted me to take up this challenge – to build one of the largest energy companies in Central Europe. This is how PGE – Polska Grupa Energetyczna was founded, currently the most valuable Polish company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Since 2009, I have been the owner and President of INVEN Group. The company prepares and invests in projects in renewable energy. This is the field of energy, which is the most dynamic development in Poland. When I look at my professional career today, MBA studies at PW WUT Business School were a turning point and opened new possibilities for me. Although 16 years have passed, I am still in close contact with the School, with my professors, friends and colleagues whom I met during my studies.
